Mylie Turns 4

Mylie has 2 favorites in her life.  Her first favorite is the color yellow.  She adores anything yellow.  Her second favorite is Tinker Belle.  Anything with Tinkerbell on it is her favorite.  I am not exactly sure which one has more priority over the other but naturally, for her birthday cake it would have to have yellow frosting, I made yellow cupcakes for our at home party.  She really wanted a Tinker Belle cake but I was afraid it would look like a hideous face instead so I went the easy way out and made a flower and put a Tinker Belle doll on top.  She was happy with it.  Our Mylie girl is a fun loving, happy, smiley girl.  She is very opinionated and pretty demanding for such a little thing.  She used to be the youngest of 3 and is now the middle child.  After being the baby for almost 4 long years she has become used to holding her own against her siblings.  We love having her in our family and love watching her little personality grow and develop.  She loves to sing and play and smile.   We love our Mylie Girl, who turned 4 on February 2nd.

One Month Home Photo Shoot with Skylar

I decided to attempt taking my own pictures of Skylar at 1 month.  Here are some of the pictures.  Only Mylie was home with me when I took these so I only have a picture with her and Mylie.

This was the picture I included in her birth announcement.
I love this picture because it looks like she's laughing at something.

I love the way this picture turned out.  The big sister loving her baby sister.

Kora Lost a Tooth

I realize this isn't such a great picture but I never realized how hard it is to take a picture of a missing tooth.  Kora lost her first tooth in December, shortly after Christmas.  One funny thing about this is just the day before, we were with family and her little cousin who is 7 months older than Kora lost his first tooth while eating breakfast.  Who would have guessed that Kora too would lose her first tooth just one day later.

Blog

My poor, poor neglected blog. Sadly, along with the neglect is lost memories of things unrecorded. If any faithful still check periodically, there is more to come. I promise. Just give me a few days to compile a few posts of past memories I have neglected to share. Until then, Love you!

Family Fun

All of Kelly's siblings came down for a week or two at the end of December. Bryan and his Family and Jodie and her kids were down for Christmas and Becky and her family came down a few days after Christmas. It was fun talking and hanging out. Here are a few pictures of the fun.

Christmas 2011

We had a very nice Christmas this year. We spent the morning at our house and the evening at Kelly's parents house. We spent Christmas Eve with my family this year. The story the kids loved to tell this year was that Kelly had made a mistake. Because he made a mistake it made Santa make a mistake. Kelly accidentally told Santa that the kids wanted small toys...not big toys. Hunter wanted a Powered Up Optimus Prime, Kora wanted a Hoola Hoop and Mylie wanted a Tinker Bell. When the kids woke up Christmas morning and opened up their presents from Santa, Hunter got a tiny little Optimus Prime, Kora got some metal bracelets and Mylie got a small Tinkerbell. After the kids opened the rest of their presents Kelly noticed a letter that was on the Christmas tree. Apparently Santa remembered last minute that Kelly called to tell them that they really wanted the big toys but by that time Kelly had already closed the glass to the fireplace and locked things up. Santa had to get creative and apparently climbed through the downstairs bathroom window and put their big presents in our bathroom. The kids really got a kick out of that.

This last picture is the kids with their cousins Preston, Mason and Taylor in their Christmas Pajamas. They came over to our house on Christmas Eve to play and hang out. We all had a great time with them. The kids love all of their cousins and it's fun to see them play together. It's too bad all the families don't live closer together.
