Hunter Baseball 2012

This year Hunter was on Farm.  It is one level higher than T-Ball.  This means that kids actually pitch instead of coaches pitching to the kids or hitting off of the T.  Although, if the boys pitch 4 balls then the coach gets to pitch the remaining strikes.  This replaces walks.  There are no walks allowed at this level.

There are 3 other boys from our ward that were in this league and one of the fathers decided to coach and draft all of the boys onto the same team.  The team did really well and ended up getting 2nd place out of I think 8 teams.  It was fun being on the same team as other boys in the ward.  Hunter's team was the Blue Jays.

Hunter got to pitch this year and loved it.  Hunter has always loved baseball and this year has really increased that love.  He watches the Angel games with his Dad on television and even sat and watched an entire game all by himself while Kelly was at work.  Hunter has always loved playing baseball in the front with Kelly, but now, it's all he wants to do.  The moment Kelly walks through the door he asks to play baseball.  Hunter recently told me that after his mission he wants to play College Baseball and then wants to try to play in the Majors.  I told him it will take lots of practicing and listening to coaches and Dad.  Who knows, maybe you'll see Hunter Kerr on a pro jersey someday?

Skylar 5 Months - May 2012

I attempted to take Skylar's pictures again for her 5 month picture. I was a little disappointed at the way they came out.  I have a few good ones.  I can definitely see the need for a photographer AND a mom.  One person to set up and snap the shot and the other person to keep the baby in the position and make her smile.  It's hard to keep babies still.

Skylar has such a sweet smile.  She is so happy and smiley.  We love our Skylar baby!

This is probably my favorite picture.

Easter 2012

I am so far behind on blogging...

Easter was pretty quiet this year, which it seems to be every year for us.  Kelly's parents were out of town so Kelly's grandpa came out early in the morning and went to church with us, then stayed for dinner.  My parents and my Uncle Dwight, whom I didn't seem to get a picture of came for dinner as well.  Kelly's mom made the girl's Easter dresses this year.  I love the different colors, it seems very festive and fun to me.

Of course, Easter wouldn't be Easter without coloring eggs. Kora chose to do pink first because it was her favorite color.
Here's Hunter dying his eggs.  This is the first year he had patience and let his eggs sit in the dye long enough to get a dark tint...and make egg dying last longer.
Mylie chose her 3 favorite colors and dyed pretty much all of her eggs these 3 colors.  Mylie LOVES the color yellow, but also loves colors that can be made from yellow, such as green and orange.

Chilling in the Sink

Skylar had a very large blow out.  Unsure of where to put her while we got things ready to shower her, I put her in the sink.  I put a towel under her head to keep her from getting hurt.  She didn't seem to mind being in there at all.  She even smiled slightly for the camera.

John's Incredible Pizza

In March, my parents decided to take our family and my brother Jeremy's family to John's Incredible Pizza.  We love John's.  It's like Chuck E. Cheeses but caters more for adults as well as has a yummy pizza buffet.  They also have rides.  The kids had a great time.
Grandma and Kora on the Roller Coaster....that Hunter refused to try.  Kora loved it.
Grandma being silly...Hunter refusing to play along.  This is Hunter's "silly face".  He is so serious.  He'll smile if you ask, but don't ask him to give a funny or silly face.  He wont do it.  Well, I guess it depends on his mood.

Silly Kora.

John's also has a play area for smaller kids.  Mylie enjoyed the games and rides that they had but soon got bored.  She soon joined her cousin Luke at the Kids play area for the rest of the night.

Valentines Day

Valentines day really isn't a huge day for our family.  The most I ever do is a Valentines day Breakfast.  So, here the kids are about to enjoy their pink heart pancakes.  Hunter and Kora were so excited for their Valentines Parties in their classes.  This year the kids passed out Krispy Kreme valentines, which allowed the recipient a free glazed donut.  You have to applaud Krispy Kreme for that wonderful give away.  The kids made sure they each got a valentine so they too could each get a free donut.  After school we went and got our free donuts.

Skylar's Blessing

We blessed Skylar on Sunday, Feruary 5th.  Her Daddy gave her such a sweet little blessing.  We were fortunate to be able to share the day with many family members.  We took pictures of the day but unfortunately it was so sunny that we decided to stand in the shade.  The result was shadows in everyone faces.  Regardless, it's a documentation of the day.
