Hunter Baseball 2012

This year Hunter was on Farm.  It is one level higher than T-Ball.  This means that kids actually pitch instead of coaches pitching to the kids or hitting off of the T.  Although, if the boys pitch 4 balls then the coach gets to pitch the remaining strikes.  This replaces walks.  There are no walks allowed at this level.

There are 3 other boys from our ward that were in this league and one of the fathers decided to coach and draft all of the boys onto the same team.  The team did really well and ended up getting 2nd place out of I think 8 teams.  It was fun being on the same team as other boys in the ward.  Hunter's team was the Blue Jays.

Hunter got to pitch this year and loved it.  Hunter has always loved baseball and this year has really increased that love.  He watches the Angel games with his Dad on television and even sat and watched an entire game all by himself while Kelly was at work.  Hunter has always loved playing baseball in the front with Kelly, but now, it's all he wants to do.  The moment Kelly walks through the door he asks to play baseball.  Hunter recently told me that after his mission he wants to play College Baseball and then wants to try to play in the Majors.  I told him it will take lots of practicing and listening to coaches and Dad.  Who knows, maybe you'll see Hunter Kerr on a pro jersey someday?
